Oriented on making people closer

On April 26, in the city of Arkadag, at the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, celebrations were held in honor of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, within the framework of which an award ceremony was held for the winners of the International Beauty Contest among Akhal-Teke horses and a thematic competition among representatives of creative professions.

The Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement agencies of the country, and the administration of the city of Arkadag also took part in the ceremonial events, TDH reports. Among the participants in the celebration were the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, famous horse breeders, and industry workers.

After the musical introduction, the festival was opened by the riders of the national equestrian games group "Galkynysh", which this year won the main and special prizes of the 47th International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte Carlo, adding to their large baggage of prestigious awards. They performed in the indoor arena of the academy.

Next, the final of the Akhal-Teke horse beauty contest took place in the open arena. The title of the most beautiful horse of the year was contested between 10 Akhal-Teke horses. The show-display presented horses without ceremonial decoration, and then - in all the splendor of traditional horse decorations.

As a result, the horse Melegush, born in 2020 and belonging to the line of the famous horse named Gyrsakar, was recognized as the most beautiful Akhal-Teke horse of 2025.

The winner of the International Competition, the seis (horse trainer), was awarded the main prize on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - the keys to a Toyota Camry, a challenge cup and a diploma. The names of the winners of the creative competition for the artistic embodiment of the beauty of horses in art were also announced. The best works were selected in accordance with the following nominations: carpet work, jewelry work, best painting and sculpture work, as well as publishing products, photographs and television stories.
