The Turkic states are preparing for the launch of their first joint satellite. The corresponding agreement was reached during the fourth meeting of the heads of space agencies of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.

Representatives from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the meeting, along with observers from Hungary and Turkmenistan. According to the press service of the "Uzbekcosmos" Agency, the meeting was a key event of the international conference "Space Technology Conference–2025" organized at the initiative of Uzbekistan.

The development of the propulsion system for the CubeSat format apparatus will be carried out by Uzbek engineers.

Furthermore, it was proposed to hold a CanSat competition for young people to increase interest in space technologies. Participants will be required to create miniature satellites and conduct their flight tests.

The Azerbaijani side expressed its readiness to organize educational programs on virtual space academies and geoinformation systems for participating and observer countries. These initiatives aim to involve young people in space activities and support innovation in this field.

A significant step was the agreement to hold the fifth meeting of the heads of space agencies in Uzbekistan.
