Ankara and Ashgabat continue to strengthen cultural cooperation: in 2025, it is planned to hold the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Turkiye. This was announced by the Ambassador of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, during an event dedicated to the tourism potential of Turkey.

According to him, negotiations are currently underway with the Turkmen side regarding the exact dates and cities for the events. Participation in joint theatrical and dance festivals is also planned throughout the year. Furthermore, in December, events dedicated to the memory of the great thinker Mevlana will take place in Turkmenistan.

The Ambassador noted that 2025, declared by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan as the International Year of Peace and Trust, and also coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, will form the basis for a series of joint cultural initiatives.

Ahmet Demirok also emphasized the high interest in Turkish culture and language in Turkmenistan, expressing hope for the imminent opening of the Yunus Emre Cultural Center in Ashgabat.
