Turkey's tourism potential was presented in Ashgabat
17.04.2025 | 21:00 |Today, April 17th, an event dedicated to the tourism potential of Turkiye took place in Ashgabat. It was held as part of Turkiye's Tourism Week, which runs from April 15th to 22nd. The Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in Turkmenistan organized the event.
Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, staff members from Turkmen and foreign media outlets, cultural figures, and other invited guests attended the event.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, delivered a welcoming address. He spoke about the successes of Turkish tourism, emphasizing that Turkey is one of the most visited countries in the world due to its climate, natural beauty, and historical and cultural heritage. The Ambassador also noted that cultural and tourism ties between Turkey and Turkmenistan are at a high level and will continue to develop.
On the Turkmen side, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, Nursahet Shirimov, gave a speech. He remarked that relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey are dynamically developing, including in the cultural and tourism spheres, and expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for organizing such a vibrant event.
The evening's atmosphere was filled with lively Turkish music performed by a musical group. Guests were offered traditional Turkish treats, allowing all participants to become better acquainted with the culture and gastronomy of the friendly country.
