Relevance of Standards in the Era of IT Technologies — Plenary Session at QACIS 2025

In the context of rapid digital technology development, standards are becoming a cornerstone for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of modern information systems. International standards help establish unified approaches to the development, implementation, and control of digital solutions, which is especially important in an era of global digital transformation and growing demands for sustainability and transparency.

The first plenary session of the QACIS 2025 conference, which will take place in Ashgabat under the theme "Ensuring Quality in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan," will focus on the topic: "Relevance of Standards in the Era of Digital Technologies."

The participation of organizations and experts such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the president and a board member of The Stirling Foundation (USA), the National Accreditation Board (USA), CERT International (Slovakia), and the QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development (Kazakhstan), as well as high-ranking members of the Government of Turkmenistan, highlights the broad international representation at the event. This creates an effective platform for sharing experiences and discussing how standards can support the digital economy in different countries.

The plenary session will provide a professional space for open dialogue on the role of standards in the digital economy, offer insights into leading global practices, and formulate recommendations for the further development of national standardization and quality assurance systems.

QACIS 2025 emphasizes the importance of joint efforts and calls on all participants to actively seek solutions where quality and standards will become the foundation of a sustainable digital future.
