The Chairman of YTB, Abdullah Eren is on a visit to Ashgabat
The Chairman of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Abdullah Eren, has been on an official visit to Ashgabat since April 7th. Several meetings with representatives of state institutions are planned as part of the visit. Furthermore, Mr. Eren is scheduled to visit the historical city of Merv on Wednesday.
During his stay in Ashgabat, Abdullah Eren gave an interview to members of the press, in which he stated:
"Currently, approximately 29,000 students from Turkmenistan are studying in Turkey. Within the framework of the “Türkiye Scholarships” program, 100 students from Turkmenistan are currently receiving education in our country".
Mr. Eren recalled that since 1992, Turkiye has provided scholarships for the education of more than 3,000 students from Turkmenistan, emphasizing that educational cooperation between the two countries will continue to be strengthened in the future.
