Turkmenistan to hold first Japanese Language Proficiency Test in 2025

The Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan hereby announces the holding of the first Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) of 2025.

Individuals wishing to take the test are required to visit the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan (“Paytagt” Business Center, 9th Floor) to obtain the test guidelines and application form.

The application period will commence on April 10th (from 09:30 to 12:45 and from 14:00 to 17:00).

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test will be held in Ashgabat on July 6, 2025. The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is an international examination designed to assess the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers.

There are no age or other restrictions for participation in the test; the sole requirement is that Japanese is not the examinee's native language. Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate officially recognizing their respective level of language proficiency.

The test is divided into five levels, ranging from N5 (the lowest) to N1 (the highest). Prospective applicants are responsible for determining the appropriate test level based on their own knowledge. The examination is conducted in the form of a written test on paper.
