The European Investment Bank to open regional office in Uzbekistan
04.04.2025 | 11:00 |On April 3rd, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the European Council António Costa, and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, an Agreement on the establishment of a regional office of the European Investment Bank in Uzbekistan was signed.
The European Investment Bank, established in 1958, is the leading financial institution of the EU.
The opening of the office in the city of Tashkent will facilitate the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and increase the volume of attracted investments in the development of the "green" economy, innovative industry, and modern infrastructure in Uzbekistan and Central Asia as a whole.
