President Serdar Berdimuhamedov meets with Ursula von der Leyen
03.04.2025 | 19:18 |Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the first Central Asia-European Union Summit, met with the President of the European Commission, Ms. Ursula von der Leyen.
As emphasized by the head of state, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to expanding fruitful ties with the European Union and aims to develop cooperation not only in areas such as economics, energy, technology, and transport, but also in the spheres of culture and education.
It was also noted that at the current stage, bilateral cooperation includes significant issues related to economics and energy supply. In accordance with the European Union's promoted policy of "green" energy, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to the introduction of new technologies and ensuring the stability of energy resources.
Noting that Turkmenistan highly values the level of partnership with the European Union, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed our country's readiness for the further effective development of these relations.
