New Starlink antenna to provide access to gigabit internet speeds
26.03.2025 | 16:05 |SpaceX is actively engaged in the development of a new antenna for its Starlink satellite internet system, which is projected to deliver data transfer speeds exceeding the current maximum of 200 Mbps.
To achieve these gigabit speeds, the company will broaden the range of radio frequencies utilized.
SpaceX intends to launch third-generation (V3) satellites using the Starship rocket. These satellites will feature narrower beams, increased bandwidth, and reduced latency. Consequently, SpaceX will be able to provide internet access with speeds of up to 2 Gbps.
Currently, SpaceX is awaiting approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the modernization of its network.
Furthermore, SpaceX is preparing an updated flat high-performance antenna for enterprise clients. The company also has plans to develop another antenna model that will represent the next step following the compact Starlink Mini.
