Boao Forum for Asia Report: Asian GDP could grow by 4.5% in 2025
25.03.2025 | 11:40 |According to a report released by the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), whose annual conference will be held from March 25th to 28th, 2025, in Boao Town, Hainan Province, South China, Asia's real gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to increase by 4.5% in 2025, compared to 4.4% in 2024.
The report, titled "Asian Economic Outlook and Integration Progress", also notes that Asia's share of the global GDP is projected to rise from 48.1% in 2024 to 48.6% in 2025.
The unemployment rate in the region is forecast to be 4.39%, which is lower than the global average of 4.96%.
These data underscore the positive trends in the Asian economy, despite the challenges faced by the region's countries. Asia continues to be a significant driver of the global economy.
