 Opportunity for youth to contribute to the fight against climate change

The application period for the "Youth for Climate 2025" (Youth4Climate 2025) competition is now open.

The "Youth for Climate" competition is an initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Italy. It aims to support youth initiatives focused on combating climate change and promoting sustainable solutions for future generations.

This competition provides an opportunity for young people to present their ideas and solutions that can have a tangible impact on climate change and contribute to the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will have the chance not only to showcase their innovative approaches but also to receive support for the implementation of their projects.

The competition is aimed at young individuals worldwide between the ages of 18 and 29 who are actively engaged in the fields of sustainable development, ecology, and the fight against climate change. Non-governmental organizations are also eligible to participate.

In 2025, the competition supports projects in the following six areas:

Sustainable Energy: Developing solutions for clean and affordable energy.

Food Systems and Agriculture: Promoting sustainable practices in the agricultural sector.

Climate and Health: Initiatives aimed at improving health in the context of climate change.

Digital Technologies for the Planet: Utilizing technology to address climate challenges.

Climate, Peace, and Security: Projects fostering peace and stability through climate solutions.

Nature for Climate Action: Initiatives for the conservation and restoration of ecosystems.

Benefits for Winners:

Funding of up to $30,000 for project implementation.

Access to capacity-building programs, including mentorship.

Networking opportunities at the national, regional, and global levels.

The application period will continue until May 26, 2025.
