Ambassador of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the advanced developments of the Minsk Automobile Plant
15.03.2025 | 00:15 |Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Nazarguly Shagulyev took part in a familiarization visit of representatives of the CIS countries to the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ). The visit, organized by the CIS Executive Committee on March 14, was aimed at strengthening cooperation in the automotive industry.
Together with other Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states and diplomats, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyev visited the main production workshops of MAZ, where he got acquainted with the process of assembling trucks. The delegation paid special attention to modern assembly lines and the use of the latest technologies aimed at increasing production efficiency.
Representatives of the CIS countries, including the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, were shown the latest models of trucks developed by MAZ for operation in various climatic conditions, as well as new models of city and intercity buses with energy-efficient engines and comfortable interiors.
The delegation also saw MAZ sports trucks, famous for their participation in the Dakar rally. These vehicles are a clear demonstration of the high level of reliability and technology of the Belarusian automobile industry, which is of interest to Turkmenistan in the context of the development of transport infrastructure.
During the meeting of MAZ management with the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS countries, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyev noted Turkmenistan's interest in studying the best practices of Belarusian colleagues in the automotive industry and expressed readiness to develop cooperation. MAZ management, in turn, expressed interest in supplying its equipment to the CIS countries and developing long-term partnership.
The permanent plenipotentiaries, including the representative of Turkmenistan, emphasized that cooperation with MAZ opens up new opportunities for modernization of transport infrastructure and development of the automobile industry in the Commonwealth countries. The visit was an important step towards strengthening business ties and exchanging experience between the CIS countries in a strategically important industry.
