Türkiye to launch "Science Cafe" initiative
14.03.2025 | 16:26 |The Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye (YÖK) is launching the "Science Cafe" initiative, which will commence in May 2025.
The initiative will bring together academic circles and the general public, thereby enhancing interaction between scientists and citizens. It will be implemented by the Scientific Communication Office of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey.
The "Science Cafe" will be held simultaneously in all 81 provinces of the country, where scientists will step outside traditional lecture halls and engage with people in everyday settings, such as coffee shops, parks, and even agricultural fields. The aim of this initiative is to present complex scientific topics in an accessible language, so that the knowledge gained in universities can benefit a wider audience.
