President of Turkmenistan congratulates diplomats on their professional holiday
18.02.2025 | 10:20 |President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed warm congratulations to the employees of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan on the occasion of their professional holiday. In his congratulations, the head of state emphasized the important role of diplomats in strengthening the international authority of the country and implementing a foreign policy course aimed at strengthening peace and cooperation.
"The diplomatic service faces important tasks in protecting the national interests of Turkmenistan, implementing the country's international initiatives on topical issues of world politics, and further developing friendly, open and multifaceted cooperation with various states and international organizations" the head of state noted.
"In a complex global situation, the diplomatic service of our country must make every effort to further strengthen trust, close support provided to Turkmenistan by the international community, promotion of our principles of neutrality, peace and mutual respect, friendship and brotherhood in the world arena”.
Having emphasized that Turkmenistan's activity in the world arena is increasing every year, putting forward initiatives on global issues on the agenda that find broad international support, the President expressed the idea that this "helps our state to constantly improve its international activities and more creatively approach the solution of global problems".
Based on its legal status of neutrality, Turkmenistan considers the use of preventive diplomacy in resolving international issues, the effective application of the principles of neutrality, the comprehensive development of peacekeeping dialogue, and the restoration of a culture of trust to be the main tasks of our time, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.
These principles, relevant to the current international situation, will also be reflected in the Global Security Strategy presented by Turkmenistan at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, which will become an important basis for interstate and international relations in the 21st century, the President emphasized.
