Novgorod entrepreneurs prepare for business mission to Turkmenistan

The Novgorod Export Support Center will organize an online meeting for regional entrepreneurs with the Russian Trade Representative Office in Turkmenistan. The meeting, scheduled for February 25th, is aimed at preparing for the business mission of Novgorod entrepreneurs to Turkmenistan, planned for March.
According to the press center of the Novgorod Region government, the discussion will focus on opportunities to enter the Turkmenistan market, its specific features, promising export directions, in-demand Russian goods, and trends and nuances of working with local companies.
Novgorod enterprises have been cooperating with Turkmen businesses for several years. According to Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of Novgorod Region, in 2023, exports grew 4.7 times compared to 2022. The significant increase was driven by the start of wood and wood product sales. The region also exported essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, and various finished products.
"By the end of the first nine months of 2024, Novgorod Region had exported goods worth 1.2 million USD to Turkmenistan. The list of goods remains unchanged. The business mission to Turkmenistan will take place in March. The upcoming online event is particularly relevant for companies planning to join the Export Center delegation. In general, "Hour with the Trade Representative" is an effective tool for familiarizing businesses with a foreign country and exploring promising niches", commented Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of Novgorod Region.
