Chinese company plans to establish robot production in Kazakhstan
04.02.2025 | 09:55 |The Chinese company AgiBot has announced its intention to establish a humanoid robot manufacturing facility in Kazakhstan. This information was shared by the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry.
As part of this new partnership, AgiBot plans to open a joint venture focused on the production and implementation of robots, as well as the development of artificial intelligence solutions. The project also includes the launch of a "data factory" to train robots and robotic systems, which will enhance the quality and efficiency of the solutions produced. It is expected that cooperation with Kazakhstani universities will contribute to the training of specialists in robotics and AI.
The company was founded in February 2023 and has already established itself as a developer of general-purpose robots, actively advancing technologies in robotics and AI. In December 2024, AgiBot produced 1,000 robots at its Shanghai factory, demonstrating its high manufacturing capabilities. Kazakhstan is being considered as the first country in Central Asia for localizing production.
