Turkmenistan to make its debut in figure skating at the Asian Winter Games

From February 7 to 14, the Chinese city of Harbin will host the 9th Asian Winter Games, where athletes from Turkmenistan will also compete. For the first time, they will be represented in figure skating competitions.
A total of 1,274 athletes from 34 countries will take part in the Asian Games. The competition will feature 64 medal events across 11 sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowboarding, freestyle skiing, ski mountaineering, speed skating, short track speed skating, figure skating, curling, and ice hockey.
Turkmenistan will be represented by 25 athletes competing in ice hockey, figure skating, and short track speed skating.
