 Turkmenistan and the United States aim to expand partnership in education

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan and the U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening Turkmen-American cooperation in the field of education, which is an important element of bilateral relations. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to improve educational programs, enhance teacher qualifications, and expand academic exchanges between institutions of both countries.

The Turkmen side highlighted the special significance of the year 2025, which is being observed as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and coincides with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status, enshrined in UN resolutions.

The U.S. Ambassador, in turn, expressed readiness to support initiatives in the field of education and emphasized the importance of further deepening the partnership aimed at introducing modern educational methodologies, developing the English language, and creating new opportunities for students and educators.

Both sides expressed mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding the partnership in education, which will contribute to the development of human capital and deepen academic collaboration between the two countries.
