29.01.2025 | 13:12 |On January 28, 2025, the Chinese company Alibaba unveiled a new family of artificial intelligence models, Qwen2.5-VL, which are capable of interacting with software on both personal computers and mobile devices.
For instance, in one demonstration video, the model successfully launched the Booking.com app on an Android platform and booked a flight ticket. In another test, it switched tabs in a web browser.
According to the developers, the leading Qwen2.5-VL model outperforms well-known models such as OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet. It analyzes charts and graphs, extracts data from accounting documents, reviews hours of video content, and even recognizes fragments of films and TV shows.
The models are available for testing in the Qwen Chat app and on the Hugging Face platform.
