The President of Turkmenistan has signed a Resolution aimed at preserving national publishing products and the spiritual wealth of the Turkmen people, as well as improving library services in the country. Within the framework of the document, the State Program for the Development of the Library Sector of Turkmenistan for 2025–2029 and the Action Plan for its implementation were approved.
The program envisages the development of library services, strengthening interest in books and reading, as well as promoting spiritual values through literature. The implementation of the State Program is entrusted to the relevant ministries, sectoral departments and hakimliks of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
The program was developed in accordance with the laws of Turkmenistan "On Culture" and "On Libraries and Library Services" and will be an important step in the development of the cultural and educational sphere of the country.
