 China's trade turnover with Central Asia has reached a record high

According to Kazinform news agency, the total trade turnover between China and the countries of Central Asia amounted to $94.82 billion by the end of 2024.

This is evidenced by the data published by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of the People's Republic of China.

Kazakhstan ranked first among China's trading partners in Central Asia with $43.82 billion, followed by Kyrgyzstan ($22.71 billion) in second place, Uzbekistan ($13.78) in third, Turkmenistan ($10.65 billion) in fourth, and Tajikistan ($3.86 billion) closing the top five.

In 2023, China's trade turnover with Central Asian countries amounted to $89.4 billion.

It is worth noting that the volume of China's trade with other countries in 2024 reached $6.16 trillion. China's trade surplus reached almost $1 trillion.
