American student Eddie Xu used special digital glasses that allowed him to receive tips from artificial intelligence at a chess tournament. He wrote about this on his page on the social network X (former Twitter).

These glasses broadcast the game to a computer, where the chess engine analyzed his opponent's moves and displayed recommendations directly on the lenses in real time.

Eddie himself admitted to cheating. His revelation shocked many, and soon caused heated discussions about honesty in chess. Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik, commenting on the situation, called for the development of new anti-cheat systems to protect against such incidents in the future.
