NASA astronauts Nick Haig and Sunita Williams performed work to replace the gyroscopic unit, which provides control of the station's orientation in space.
They also installed protective covers on damaged areas of the light filters of the NICER (Neutron star Interior Composition Explorer) X-ray telescope, and also replaced the reflective device used for navigation data on one of the international docking adapters.
In addition, specialists inspected access areas and connecting tools that will be used during future maintenance of the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer.
