President of Iran Arrives in Russia for Talks with Putin

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Russia for talks with Vladimir Putin, Russian media reported.

The Iranian politician was met at the capital's Vnukovo-2 airport by Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and the head of the department's state protocol department Igor Bogdashev.

Putin and Pezeshkian are expected to sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which is intended to replace the current document between Russia and Iran on the foundations of relations and principles of cooperation, signed in Moscow back in 2001.
