16.01.2025 | 18:11 |As part of the development of international cooperation, the Astrakhan region is actively working on creating new air routes with the Caspian littoral states. According to the Minister of External Relations of the region, Vladimir Golovkov, negotiations are underway to launch direct flights on the routes Astrakhan-Ashgabat or Astrakhan-Turkmenbashy.
The Minister noted that the issue of launching a new route is being worked out. To date, international air service from Astrakhan is represented by flights to Baku, however, high load factors emphasize the need to expand the geography of flights.
The Astrakhan government also hopes that flights to Kazakhstan will resume from March.
