American billionaire Elon Musk wants to buy the English football club Liverpool. This fact was confirmed on January 7 by the entrepreneur's father, Errol Musk, on Times Radio.

The publication reports that if the billionaire is serious about buying Liverpool, he will make an offer to the current owner John Henry, who also owns the MLB team Boston Red Sox and the NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins.

Liverpool is a 19-time English champion, an 8-time FA Cup winner, a 10-time League Cup winner, a 16-time FA Super Cup winner, a 3-time UEFA Cup winner, a 6-time Champions League winner, a 4-time UEFA Super Cup winner and the 2019 Club World Cup champion.

According to the auditing company Deloitte, in 2024 Liverpool ranked seventh in terms of revenue among all football clubs in the world. In May 2024, Forbes valued the club at US$5.37 billion, making Liverpool the fourth most valuable football club in the world.
