New Year's Fireworks in the UAE break two world records
04.01.2025 | 10:22 |Ras Al Khaimah Emirate in the UAE set two new Guinness World Records during its New Year's drone and fireworks show. This was reported by the press service of the emirate’s Tourism Development Department (RAKTDA).
"This year's New Year's celebration has become a vibrant reflection of Ras Al Khaimah’s outstanding achievements in tourism for 2024. The two Guinness World Records set during the show represent the innovative spirit and cultural identity of our emirate", said RAKTDA head Raki Phillips.
The two records were set for "the largest tree figure formed by drones in the air" and "the largest seashell figure formed by drones in the air".
The "Our Story in the Sky" show was dedicated to the history and culture of the emirate. On a four-kilometer stretch of coastline, 1,400 drones, lasers, and pyrotechnics were used to present a three-part performance. The first act depicted the emirate's ecosystem, the second highlighted its maritime heritage and pearl diving, and the third focused on the history of navigation. The show concluded with a fireworks display.
