Air India becomes the first Indian Airline to offer onboard Wi-Fi
03.01.2025 | 12:11 |Air India, India's leading global airline, has announced the launch of onboard Wi-Fi services starting January 1, 2025, on domestic and international flights operated by Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9, and select Airbus A321neo aircraft.
This will allow passengers traveling for leisure or business to stay connected during their flights and enjoy browsing the web, accessing social media, and texting friends and family.
“Connectivity is now an integral part of modern travel. For some, it is the convenience of real-time sharing, and for others, enhanced productivity. Whatever the purpose, we are confident that our guests will appreciate the ability to connect and enjoy a new Air India experience onboard”, said Air India’s Chief Customer Experience Officer, Rajesh Dogra.
Access to onboard Wi-Fi is available for Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones running iOS or Android operating systems. Furthermore, multiple devices can be connected to the onboard Wi-Fi simultaneously.
Air India will progressively roll out this service on other aircraft in its fleet.
