Central Asian countries discussed cooperation within the ERASMUS+ Program
20.12.2024 | 09:30 |On December 19, 2024, a roundtable on "Prospects for Cooperation Among Central Asian Universities in the Development of Higher Education and Joint Projects within ERASMUS+" was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT).
The event, organized with the support of the National ERASMUS Office in Uzbekistan, brought together delegations from Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, experts in higher education, and representatives from leading international publishers and companies.
The participants discussed key areas of higher education development in the region. The roundtable served as a platform for exchanging experiences, finding new solutions, and strengthening partnerships in the educational sector.
The Turkmen delegation highlighted priority areas for cooperation, including the creation of joint educational and scientific projects, as well as the development of information infrastructure to increase publication activity.
Today, representatives of Turkmenistan will participate in the annual international conference of the National Team of Experts on Higher Education Reform Erasmus+. The conference will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of EU-Uzbekistan cooperation in higher education within the frameworks of the Tempus (1994–2014) and Erasmus+ (2014–2024) programs.
