In Turkmenistan, a textbook titled "International Transport System" has been published for higher education institutions (author: P. Charyev, publisher: State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan).

The first chapter of the book presents detailed materials on various aspects of international transport cooperation, which is important for training future specialists. It covers the activities of specialized UN agencies, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the Organization for Cooperation of Railways (OCR), the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and other major international transport organizations.

The second chapter discusses various types of transport documents and conventions that regulate international transport cooperation. It provides a detailed description of the legal foundations for simplifying and standardizing rules and documents aimed at ensuring the implementation of international conventions active in Turkmenistan, as well as promoting bilateral, interregional, and regional agreements on transit transport.

The third chapter presents major transport corridors in the region: the International Multimodal Corridor “Afghanistan–Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Turkey”, which connects the Middle East and Europe; the “Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Iran–Oman” transport and transit project covering Central Asia and the Middle East; the international transport route “Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Romania”, linking the Caspian and Black Seas; the multimodal transport corridor “China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Turkey–Europe”, providing access from the Asia-Pacific region through Central Asia and the Caucasus to Europe; the railway corridor “Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan–Iran”, part of the North-South project; and the “Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Tajikistan” railway project in the East-West direction.

Additionally, the textbook includes a list of literature, official websites of international transport organizations, and a list of their abbreviations in both Russian and English. The textbook will be useful for students majoring in fields related to international economic relations and the transport industry, as well as for anyone interested in international economic issues.
