Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated workers of the oil and gas industry on their professional holiday
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a welcoming message to workers of the oil and gas industry and geology of the country, congratulating them on their professional holiday, which is celebrated on December 14.
In his address, the head of state noted the significant contribution of industry specialists to the development of the country's economy. He emphasized that thanks to their hard work, outstanding successes have been achieved, such as the discovery of new fields, the construction of gas pipelines, including Turkmenistan-China, East-West and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI). The President also noted the importance of implementing the key section of TAPI - Serhetabat-Herat, which received the symbolic name "Arkadagyň Ak ýoly".
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the development of the export potential of the oil and gas industry and the creation of an extensive pipeline system are priorities of the state energy policy. Particular attention is paid to strengthening energy security, increasing the well-being of the countries of the region and creating a stable economic environment.
In the development of oil and gas fields, production, processing and supply of hydrocarbon resources to consumers, important tasks are compliance with environmental protection requirements, compliance with high environmental standards, as well as reducing the impact on climate change, the head of state noted.
The President expressed confidence that Turkmenistan will continue to actively develop the energy sector, implementing large-scale projects aimed at achieving the goals. In conclusion, he wished all workers in the industry good health, family well-being and new successes in their important and responsible work.
