Turkmen delegation participates in ADB training course for educational institutions
11.12.2024 | 13:12 |A Turkmen delegation comprising representatives of the Ashgabat Secondary Vocational School of Tourism and the “Info-Communications” Vocational School at the Turkmen Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics is taking part in a training course organized within the framework of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program of the Asian Development Bank for secondary vocational education workers of Central Asian countries.
According to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the training events are held from December 9 to 13 in the People's Republic of China.
At the beginning of the study tour, a meeting was held between the leaders of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, the Asian Development Bank team led by Sofia Shakil, Director of the Human and Social Development Sector, and secondary vocational education officials from Central Asian countries.
The meeting included presentations on improving the quality and pace of development of education in the secondary vocational sector in PRC, management rules, regulations and cooperation of sectoral institutions. During the speeches it was noted that in PRC today special attention is paid to the implementation of educational programs of secondary vocational education, modernization of material and technical base, regular equipping with modern technologies, as well as construction of new innovative educational buildings. Part of this financing is provided by the Asian Development Bank. Then, familiarization meetings were held for all participants at the Guangxi Vocational Technical College. The delegation visited the exhibition halls, specialized laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technologies for teaching manufacturing processes using robotics, VR and AR technologies. The college management, teachers and students proudly said that these facilities, which meet the requirements of modern standards, create a new learning environment for young people.
At the Guangxi Institute of Electromechanics and Polytechnics, located in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, participants were introduced to the features and progress of the collaborative work of the seven secondary vocational schools operating on its premises. In these educational institutions, the participants learned about the organization of electric power technology, the study of innovative solutions in transportation logistics, the establishment of renewable energy equipment production, and how students studying in international cooperation learn from global experience. In addition, there were a number of other presentations where participants shared their experiences.
In the last days of the program, the participants are scheduled to visit the Railway Transport Vocational School and Secondary Vocational Schools at Luzhou Polytechnic University to see the opportunities created in the field of transportation and communication systems. Participants will also visit Guilin Tourism University to study its achievements, management rules and ongoing project work.
