 Diplomats of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Discuss a Wide Range of Cooperation Issues

A meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov took place today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian dimensions, as well as the regional and international agenda, were discussed.

The diplomats confirmed that regular meetings and negotiations at high and highest levels play a leading role in strengthening partnership.

As noted, trade and economic cooperation between the states is developing consistently. The presence of significant potential for bilateral business contacts was emphasized. Along with this, diplomats noted the effective nature of direct ties between the regions of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The interlocutors emphasized that the cultural and humanitarian direction serves as a key factor in the accelerated development of interstate relations, according to a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
