Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov took part in the 29th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2024" (OGT-2024) in Ashgabat. In his speech at the forum, Sanzhar Zharkeshov shared his vision of the prospects for the development of the gas industry in Kazakhstan and the region, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, as well as interaction between the state concern “Turkmengaz” and “QazaqGaz”.

During the conference, Sanzhar Zharkeshov held fruitful talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues Ashirguly Begliyev and Chairman of the “Turkmengaz” State Concern Maksat Babayev.

During the meetings, specific steps for the implementation of joint projects were discussed and goals for future cooperation were identified. A meeting of the working group is planned to further advance the gas industry of the two countries.

Earlier, in October this year, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid an official visit to Turkmenistan. During the trip, a strategic agreement on the development of the gas industry between QazaqGaz and Turkmengaz was signed. This document opens new horizons for joint projects, strengthening the positions of both countries in the global energy market.
