Dragon Oil’s CEO, Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, spoke to a correspondent from the Orient news website during the 29th International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" (OGT-2024) about the key areas of cooperation with the Turkmen government, strategic projects, and the company's future plans.

Al Jarwan emphasized that the long-term partnership with the Turkmen government is yielding significant results, enabling the company to strengthen its position in the region. He highlighted that Dragon Oil has not only proven its effectiveness over the past 25 years but is also poised for further growth by expanding its oil production capabilities.

"We work continuously – daily, weekly, and monthly. Our goal is to improve operational efficiency, introduce new technologies, and increase the hydrocarbon recovery rate," Al Jarwan stated.

The company is actively seeking new partnerships with both international and national oil and gas companies. Al Jarwan expressed confidence in the continued growth of cooperation with the Turkmen government, which is open to new projects and collaborations. He noted that the country demonstrates strong potential for the development of the oil and gas sector: "The country’s future is bright."

In his interview, Al Jarwan also gave special attention to environmental initiatives. Over the next three years, Dragon Oil plans to completely stop flaring associated gas, in line with new global environmental standards, which Turkmenistan also follows. By 2027, the company aims to achieve "zero flaring," reflecting its commitment to sustainable development and environmental responsibility.

"We have developed a strategy and are already implementing projects aimed at reducing emissions. It is also important to establish gas monetization processes to enhance operational efficiency at this stage," he added.

According to Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, OGT-2024 has become an important platform for exchanging experience, discussing innovations, and showcasing the achievements of global companies. He noted that the event is beneficial for both professionals and students, who can clearly see the prospects for the industry's development.
