Unique medical centers opened in Ashgabat: a step into the future of healthcare
10.10.2024 | 12:30 |On the Day of Workers of Healthcare and Medical Industry in Turkmenistan, new healthcare facilities were opened. Among the most significant are the International Health and Rehabilitation Center with 400 beds and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology with 250 beds, inaugurated in Ashgabat on 9 October. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, participated in the solemn ceremonies on this occasion.
In the regions of the country, major construction premieres were also held in honor of the professional holiday of healthcare workers: an enterprise for the production of glycyrrhizin acid was commissioned in Turkmenabat, and an administrative building for the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Mary velayat and the city of Mary was opened, reports TDH.
Speaking at the opening of the International Health and Rehabilitation Center, the chairman of Halk Maslahaty congratulated healthcare workers on their professional holiday, as well as on the opening of new medical centers and a pharmaceutical enterprise.
As the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized, the health of citizens is the wealth of our independent state. In this regard, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, significant attention is paid to the measures taken in Turkmenistan aimed at promoting the principles of a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention, and considerable funds are allocated to introduce advanced technologies and practical developments in medicine. Hospitals, health houses and specialized centers, sanatoriums, and sports complexes are being systematically constructed in the capital and the city of Arkadag, as well as in all regions of the country: all facilities are equipped to international standards.
The enterprise "Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment", established in the new city of Arkadag, significantly contributes to the increase in the production of goods from local raw materials needed in specialized institutions.
In March 2021, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund was established to provide assistance to children in need of care. Thanks to the Fund’s resources, many children have restored their health, and this humanitarian initiative will be continued, as emphasized by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
The International Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ashgabat is the first medical facility of its kind not only in the country, but also in the entire Central Asian region, whose activities are focused on restoring the health of patients after traumas and diseases. It is equipped with robotic equipment, which allows for the most effective recovery of bodily functions.
The structure of the Center includes more than 20 departments for children and adults: consultative-diagnostic departments; kinesitherapy and hydrotherapy departments; physiotherapy; rehabilitation; neurology; orthopedics. Additionally, there are also departments of habilitation; pediatrics; cardiology; internal medicine; somnology and sports rehabilitation; cardiac rehabilitation; internal medicine rehabilitation; hyperbaric oxygenation, neurorehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation.
The International Health and Rehabilitation Center was awarded international certificates, among others, from Dr. Mellinghoff Consulting - as a center for high-tech construction and sustainable infrastructure in Central Asia; from the independent non-profit organization ECRI - confirming the availability of world-class medical technologies; from Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen/MHG - as the best International Health and Rehabilitation Center; and two certificates from Justus Liebig University Giessen - as the best hospital in the region.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people also participated in the opening of the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology, located along one of the central thoroughfares of the capital, Magtymguly Avenue.
The structure of the new Center includes administrative building, research center, scientific-clinical and additional departments, technical and service facilities. The Center is equipped with an electronic document management system and advanced equipment.
The International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology has also been awarded international certificates, including one from Dr. Mellinghoff Consulting as a center for high-tech construction and sustainable infrastructure in Central Asia; one from the independent non-profit organization ECRI, confirming the availability of world-class medical technologies; from Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen—MHG, as the best International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology; and two certificates from Justus Liebig University Giessen, recognizing it as the best hospital in the region for quality and excellence.
