Prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Greece discussed in Athens: highlights
10.10.2024 | 22:15 |Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyly Komekov, on a working visit to Athens to present credentials to the President of Greece, held a number of important meetings and negotiations.
On 9 October, at the Ministry of Education of the Hellenic Republic, the Ambassador discussed with Deputy Minister Ioanna Lytrivi on topical aspects of cooperation, including exchange of experience between universities and education of Turkmen students in Greek institutions of higher education.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Deputy Minister in charge of Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragoyiannis, Ambassador Komekov focused on the key principles of Turkmenistan's foreign policy - positive neutrality, peacefulness and mutually beneficial cooperation. In this context, further interaction on the platforms of international organizations and the expansion of bilateral trade and economic relations were considered.
On Thursday, October 10, Toyly Komekov held talks with the Minister of Rural Development and Food of the Hellenic Republic, Kostantinos Tsiaras, emphasizing Turkmenistan's readiness to develop effective cooperation aimed at utilizing the best global practices in sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue on these issues, as reported by the Turkmen embassy.
