Oriented on making people closer

The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in Moscow on Monday, October 7.

The ministers will exchange views on current issues on the international agenda and cooperation in the CIS. In a broad format, the members of the Council of Foreign Ministers intend to discuss and adopt the Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS Member States on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.

The heads of the foreign policy departments will also make decisions on the Plan of multi-level inter-MFA consultations for 2025, the Action Plan for 2025-2026 to implement the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation, the Action Plan for 2024-2025 dedicated to declaring the city of Ashgabat the City of New Sports Opportunities of the Commonwealth.

In addition, decisions will be made at the meeting to establish four new basic organizations - in the areas of advocacy, media and the development of the volunteer movement, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reported.
