 The first International Festival of Culture and Arts “Silk Road” takes place in China

During the celebration of China's main national holiday, which is observed on 1 October, the first International Festival Culture and Arts “Silk Road” was ceremoniously opened in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Tourists from around the world gathered at the Silk Road Happy World Park to immerse themselves in the rich customs of the region's countries and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China.

The festival program includes a large-scale Chinese-style musical, “Sounds of the Silk Road”. Tourists embark on a wonderful journey along the caravan routes, accompanied by exquisite stage installations, melodious music and stunning special effects to appreciate the unique charm of the Silk Road culture.

The classical Chinese dance drama “Flower Rain on the Silk Road” presented outdoors at Silk Road Happy World was a complete success, and the audience gave a long applause to the spectacular show, in which the softness of the plain landscapes is transitioning to the unrestrained of the mountainous scenery, and the mystery of the sea contrasts with the harshness of the sandy deserts.

The caravan of Silk Road camels, accompanied by exotic dancers, attracted the attention of many park visitors who stopped to watch the performance. Among the vibrant kaleidoscope of traditions and customs from the countries along the Silk Road, the Turkmen dance "Kushtdepdi", performed by Turkmen students of local universities, stood out with its captivating energy.

Additionally, four thematic exhibition areas showcasing characteristic handicrafts, national costumes, musical instruments, and more from China, Central Asia, South Asia, and Europe are presented, illustrating the diversity of cultures along the bustling markets of the ancient Silk Road.

The festival, filled with music, dance, colors, theatrical and folk performances, runs from October 1 to 7, highlighting the breadth and diversity of the cultural heritage of Silk Road countries."
