 A collection of poems by Makhtumkuli Fragi was presented in Bishkek in the Kyrgyz language

The collection of poems by Makhtumkuli Fragi has been translated into Kyrgyz. The book presentation took place on October 3 in Bishkek as part of the scientific and practical conference "300 Years of the Classic of Eastern Poetry Makhtumkuli Fragi." The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, N. Golliyev.

The conference also brought together deputy ministers of culture, information, sports and youth policy, education, and science of the Kyrgyz Republic, faculty from leading universities in Bishkek, the creative intelligentsia, and media representatives.

The speakers emphasized the significance of this event, which became an intellectual gathering dedicated to the legacy of the great philosopher and poet. Participants noted that 2024, when the world celebrates the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli, provides an opportunity for a deeper study of his works, which laid the foundation for the development of literature.

In his speech at the conference, Ambassador N. Golliyev highlighted the tremendous role of Makhtumkuli Fragi as the founder of Turkmen classical literature, whose creative heritage has become an integral part of the world's cultural treasury.

As part of the event, a new song in Kyrgyz, based on Makhtumkuli Fragi's poem "At-Kerek," was performed, with music composed by T. Kazakov, a composer, publicist, and People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Additionally, during the presentation of the collection titled Makhtumkuli Tandamalar, it was noted that the translation of the poems into Kyrgyz contributes to the popularization of the great poet's work among the Kyrgyz people, revealing the depth and uniqueness of his talent and strengthening humanitarian dialogue between the countries.
