 A branch of the Kent State University may appear in Turkmenistan

The possibility of opening a branch of Kent State University in Turkmenistan was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Education Azat Atayev and Rector of this American university Todd Deacon.

The Turkmen side has previously prepared a draft roadmap. During the visit, the parties plan to work out in detail all aspects of this important undertaking.

According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, during the meeting in Kent, the American state of Ohio, three memoranda of understanding were signed – between Kent State University and the International University of Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

The agreements are aimed at expanding academic programs, creating joint educational and scientific initiatives, as well as strengthening cultural exchanges between the countries.

The representatives of Turkmenistan also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to organize an event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great philosopher and poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi within the framework of this visit.
