John Deere - Platinum partner of TIF 2024

Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2024) opens new opportunities for the agricultural sector of the country, which is not surprising: the event is attended by major companies, including John Deere Walldorf International GmbH. The company itself is a platinum partner of the forum, and its representative - Vice President for the CIS region Peter Saxe - is among the speakers at the sessions of such an important event for the Turkmen economy.

Currently, the company has about 65 plants in 19 countries of the world. Since 1994, John Deere Walldorf International GmbH has been working directly with Turkmenistan, contributing to the development of its agricultural sector. Thus, the company's production sites in the country employs about 150 specialists who serve the operation of machinery in all regions of Turkmenistan. In addition, the company has a spare parts warehouse, which helps to promptly solve urgent tasks on modernisation and repair of John Deere equipment, as well as the relevant Digital Technology Support Department.

The share of John Deere's technical component is significant, and the figures themselves prove it: about a thousand machines of the company are used in the cotton harvesting season in Turkmenistan, which allows to fully mechanise the harvesting process. In addition, the technical arsenal of the country includes about 900 modern tractors with built-in GPS and AutoTrac technology, which allows reducing the time of overlapping of unprocessed fields without their preliminary marking. In total, the modern John Deere fleet in Turkmenistan includes about 150 models and 4 thousand units of various machines.

Close cooperation of John Deere is not limited only to interaction with the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, but also includes close partnership with Turkmen business structures, in particular, with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. In recent years, these contacts have promoted the development of so-called ‘zero tillage’, which is a cost-effective technology that allows for more intensive water enrichment of the land with minimal fuel consumption and limited use of chemicals. New technologies for water supply, focusing on the maintenance and construction of new canals and irrigation of territories, are also considered attractive for investment.

In addition to the interesting investment positions presented above, the company's attention is also focused on the prospects of investments in telematics and service equipment, the central service of which is installed in Ashgabat. Thanks to this technology, it will be possible to map fields and receive real-time operational data. Digitalisation of processes will also be affected at the control centres in the company's regional offices.

It is noteworthy that the investments can enrich not only the production agricultural sector, but also the higher education sector with new content.
