The Turkmentelecom telecommunications company launched international fiber-optic communication systems.

As is known, there are 8 interstate fiber-optic information transmission lines in Turkmenistan - Ashgabat - Guchan (Iran), Turkmenabat - Alat (Uzbekistan), Dashoguz - Gurlen (Uzbekistan), Garabogaz - Kendirli (Kazakhstan), two communication systems in the direction of Kerki - Akina (Afghanistan) and two communication systems in the direction Serhetabat - Herat (Afghanistan).

Currently, there are 47,940,224 km of communication networks throughout Turkmenistan, of which 12,252,855 km are optical communication networks.
