 The head of the MFA of Turkmenistan discussed the agenda of bilateral relations with the new ambassador of Kazakhstan

Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met on Tuesday, July 16, with new Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Nurlan Nogayev, who presented copies of his credentials.

Meredov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.

Diplomats discussed the agenda of Turkmen-Kazakh relations, covering various areas. It was stated that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan is developing on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial partnership, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement. 16072024-posol-nogaev-v-mid-turkmenistana (2).jpg Topical issues of developing bilateral cooperation in priority areas of a political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian nature were also considered. The parties were unanimous in the opinion that contacts at the highest level play a decisive role in intensifying interaction between the two countries. In addition, the interlocutors emphasized the effective nature of intergovernmental, interparliamentary, interdepartmental and interministerial relations.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the regional and international agenda of mutual interest, the diplomatic department added.

Previously, it was reported that before Nurlan Nogayev left for Ashgabat, the President of Kazakhstan met with him and set a number of tasks for the development of bilateral cooperation. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to pay special attention to the issues of qualitatively filling the content of the upcoming high-level negotiations.
