The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed concern about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump
15.07.2024 | 00:13 |The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports that Turkmenistan received the news of the attempt on the life of the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump with deep concern.
“The Turkmen side strongly condemns this act of violence and wishes Donald Trump a speedy recovery,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Sunday, July 14.
“Turkmenistan is an active participant in international efforts to combat terrorism in all forms of its manifestation, as well as acts of political violence that generate tension in society,” the media release also noted.
Donald Trump interrupted a public appearance in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting, according to global media reports. The video showed how the politician was being taken away by the arms by security; his ear was bloodied. Trump later said he was shot in the ear and lost a lot of blood. The US Secret Service said it had killed a suspect who fired several shots towards the stage. One spectator was killed in the shooting and two others were critically injured.
US President Joe Biden said he is praying for Trump's recovery, but does not yet have enough facts to call the incident an assassination attempt on the politician. The FBI later announced that an assassination attempt had been made on Trump; the bureau was not ready to reveal the identity of the suspect or name his motives. According to the FBI, US authorities did not know in advance about the preparation of the crime.
