Participants of the Mary-Tejen-Ashgabat cycling marathon finished in Ashgabat

The cycling marathon finished in Ashgabat, the distance of which was laid along a special route on the Mary-Tejen-Ashgabat section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway. This was reported by the “Turkmenavtoulaglary” agency.
The marathon started on May 31 in the city of Mary.
About 60 athletes from all over Turkmenistan, including members of the country’s national team, completed the challenge covering the 335-kilometer long path.
The finishing point was the Bicycle Monument in Ashgabat, where they joined a mass bike ride organized in honor of World Bicycle Day.
World Bicycle Day was established on the initiative of Turkmenistan in April 2018 at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
