 The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan took part in a meeting with participants of the young diplomats’ competition

On April 22, Kazan hosted a meeting of the participants of the Youth Ambassadors competition with the Consuls General of foreign countries accredited in Kazan, in particular Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the participants of the Young Diplomats competition learned in detail from the diplomats about the current situation and promising areas of cooperation between the above-mentioned countries and Russia, including the Republic of Tatarstan.

In particular, Consul General of Turkmenistan Guych Garayev noted that in the context of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation occupies one of the key places. This is cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian fields.

It was also noted about the International Round Table recently held in Kazan dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy, which was organized jointly by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Taking this opportunity, Garayev noted that "diplomat" is today not only a position in the diplomatic service, but also a lifestyle and approach to work. The diplomat highlighted the encouraging fact that young people today show great interest in this profession, study diplomatic skills, etiquette, protocol, enriching them with theoretical knowledge. The Consul General expressed confidence that all this will make a great contribution to strengthening peace, stability, prosperity and mutual understanding in our big world.

During the event, the participants also exchanged their ideas on ways to strengthen interstate cooperation. The Consuls General thanked them for their initiative and stressed the importance of youth participation in the development of international relations.

At the end of the event, the participants of the competition presented foreign diplomats with memorable gifts made with their own hands. In particular, a commemorative gift with poems by Magtymguly Pyragy against the background of the famous Kul Sharif was prepared for the Turkmen side.
