Turkmen specialists study Japanese experience in the field of seismic safety
18.04.2024 | 23:11 |During the period from April 16 to 19 of this year, in Almaty, a seminar is being held, organized by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA in collaboration with the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development KazAID, the Kazakh Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture and the Center for Emergency Situations and Risk Reduction natural Disasters.
Specialists from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan were invited to participate in the seminar.
Japan, being one of the most seismically active countries on Earth, has developed many technologies and measures to mitigate the effects of earthquakes. The experience and expertise of Japanese specialists in the field of seismic safety are an invaluable source of knowledge for the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

They will highlight advanced methods and technologies used in Japan to create earthquake-resistant structures, and will display examples of basic insulation designs that are a model for the global construction industry.
