 The Afghan delegation visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport

On March 3, 2024, a delegation led by the Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan Alhaj Nuruddin Azizi visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. This was reported by the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency.

During the visit, delegates got acquainted with the potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and its terminals.

In particular, they were informed about the “customs storage” regime for transit cargo. According to it, the export of goods in transit to third parties is carried out without customs duties for a period of up to 3 years.

The head of the Afghan delegation carefully examined the warehouse of refrigerated containers at the terminal, where he became interested in the storage conditions for Afghan vegetables and dried fruits.

Also during the visit, the guests were shown the capabilities of the Balkan shipbuilding and ship repair plant and the work carried out on the ships being repaired.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan praised Turkmenistan's efforts to modernize maritime transport infrastructure.
